Preserve the haven

Restore and sustain the historic Spruce Lodge—where for nearly 100 years, old walls have sheltered new beginnings.

.

preserve the haven: the heart of renewal and community for nearly a century.

Nearly a century ago, nestled along the Rio Grande River at the foot of the San Juan Mountains, the Spruce Lodge was built from logs harvested in the surrounding forest. For generations, it stood as the heartbeat of South Fork, Colorado—a gathering place whose stories intertwined within its log walls.

The Spruce Lodge is more than a building—it is a living legacy and sacred space where discipleship, community, and restoration intersect. Each year, young adults seeking clarity and purpose are mentored, challenged, and equipped within these walls to carry their faith into adulthood.

But like all historic treasures, the Spruce Lodge requires ongoing care. Maintaining the integrity of its 1927 structure and reclaiming the purpose of this building for new beginnings demands resources beyond what program tuition can cover.
